11:00am-12:15 PDT | Session 2 Instructor: Tim, Host: Cornell A Play with Words: Work with the Fibonacci Technique – A fun way to create an idea for a song using the letters of word or name. Suggested flute key: G-minor. |
1:00-2:15pm | Session 3 Instructor: Pam, Host: Joe Indigenous Instruments: Our instruments have a rich history. What are some techniques we can use to draw on that history? How do we use our instruments creatively? Flutes and didgeridoos welcome. Suggested flute key: G-minor. |
2:30-3:45pm PDT | Session 4 Instructor: Joe, Host: Pam Creativity, Imagination, and the Flute: Tips, tricks, how to build skills, how to practice. Suggested flute key: G-minor. |

9:30-10:45am PDT | Session 1 Instructor: Joe, Host: Pam Recording and Sound:Walk-through of recording and sound equipment and software. The software walk through will be in Cakewalk but the techniques demonstrated will apply to other recording packages and the recording process in general. |
11:00am-12:15 PDT | Session 2 Instructor: Pam, Host: Joe Get Your Groove On: Exploring rhythms and rhythmic playing. Bring your flutes and didgeridoos. Suggested flute key: G-minor. |
1:00-2:15pm PDT | Session 3 Instructor: Tim, Host: Cornell From Improvisation to Masterpiece: Building a structured song from your improvised melody. Suggested flute key: G-minor. |
2:30-3:45pm PDT | Session 4 Instructor: Cornell, Host: Tim Playing arrangements for multiple flutes: We’ll look at and play music arranged for multiple flutes. Ability to read notation for NAF will be a plus for this class. We will be using three sizes of flutes in this session: A-minor, E-minor and Bass A-minor. You don’t need to have all three sizes. You can try the musical parts for whichever of the listed keys you have. |
